Come join fellow Kansas City Audi Club members on a fall drive up to northern Missouri. This year we're driving to Rockport Missouri for lunch and a tour of a wind farm. With all the concerns on energy we felt this would be an appropriate activity for the club.
Itinerary:
8:30-9:15 Gather at Panera Bread Company on Shawnee Mission Parkway.
9:30 Depart caravan style for Rockport. We'll be traveling up by interstate and will make a brief bio-break along the way.
11:30 Lunch in Rockport
12:30 Travel to wind farm for tour
1:30 (or so) depart via Nebraska and Kansas roads for Weston Missouri. We'll be traveling through the towns of Hiawatha, Troy, Atchison and Leavenworth with a brief stop in Atchison for coffee and a bio-break.
4:00 Arrive in Weston Missouri to wander the streets. Everyone will finish the evening at O'Malleys 1842 Irish Pub for a refreshment.
Depart at your leisure for home anytime in groups or individually. Directions out of town will be provided.
It is suggested that personal two way radios be brought along with fresh batteries for car-to-car communication. Bring warm clothing for the outdoor tour.
Registration is $30 per person.
